Modern staircase guardrails and balcony guardrails are mostly produced using stainless steel. Durability has become the main factor for consumers to choose stainless steel railings. Stainless steel railings have strong corrosion resistance and are not prone to rusting, but if not maintained for a long time, stainless steel railings will also rust.
1. Be careful not to cause surface scratches Do not use rough and sharp materials to scrub the surface of stainless steel, especially those that are mirror polished. Use a softer, non falling fabric to scrub. For sand steel and brushed surfaces, follow the pattern to scrub, otherwise it is easy to damage the surface.
2. Avoid using detergent, steel wire balls, grinding tools, etc. that contain bleach and abrasives. To avoid residual detergent that corrodes the stainless steel surface, rinse the surface with clean water after washing.
3. If there is dust on the surface of stainless steel railings and dirt is easily removed, soap and weak washing can be used to wash them. For adhesive components, use alcohol or organic solvents to scrub.
Stainless steel railing maintenance
The surface of the stainless steel protective pile is contaminated with grease, oil, and lubricating oil. Wipe it clean with a soft cloth, and then clean it with neutral detergent or ammonia solution or special detergent.
The surface of stainless steel is coated with bleach and various acids. Immediately rinse with water, then soak in ammonia solution or neutral carbonated soda solution, and wash with neutral detergent or warm water.
The surface of the stainless steel protective pile has rainbow patterns, which are caused by excessive use of detergent or oil. When washing, use warm water and neutral washing to remove them.
Rust caused by dirt on the surface of stainless steel protective piles can be washed with 10% nitric acid or grinding detergent, or with specialized cleaning drugs. As long as we use the correct maintenance methods, we can extend the service life of stainless steel and maintain its clean, bright, and gorgeous appearance.
